ORIGIN
Cecily was created for my comic The Tram Stop Story, which is set in Poland.
The male lead of the comic is a little bit inspired by Shinji Hirako from Bleach, so one day I decided to make a little experiment and imagine how it would be if Cece were a student in Ichigo's class. By then, I didn't expect to create such a huge story from it with three versions (and more are coming), but there we are.
Her first name is just the English version of a name I'm using for this character (I still haven't decided between Cecylia and Celina lol). Her last name... is the first Japanese word that came to my mind, and as I don't know many of them, it is what it is. But I actually like how basic that is.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
She's just a little bit taller than the average Japanese girl her age (as a teenager and later as a young adult). Light blonde (well, yellow) hair with bangs a little bit too long. Hair neck-length; she ties it in a low ponytail for physical education, dance classes, etc. She doesn't tie it after death. She has blue-grey eyes with the outer corner a little bit low. She wears her school uniform properly, no fancy accessories. After school she's wearing random pants and shirts that are currently popular among people her age. She has a few simple summer dresses.
At the beginning I was imagining her with glasses, as she wears them in her original story; later I forgot, so let's count her eyes in this version are good.
PERSONALITY
Cecily is a quiet and calm girl. She's polite and genuinely kind; she smiles quite often and rarely fakes it. She always takes her time to think if someone asks her an important question. She tries to never lie, but sometimes she does it to cover for her friends or something not really important (like her own opinion). She doesn't approach others first, but when someone does, she's very easy to talk to. Besides her reflective personality, she likes having spontaneous fun, making jokes, and having friendly banter. When she's sad, she might cry but never do it in public. When angry, she just frowns and tries her hard not to speak her mind. She avoids conflicts.

CECE AS SHINIGAMI
Even after her advanced training, she can't perform the strongest Kido at all. Her other spells are not strong anyway, so she rarely performs them, usually for their other qualities than offensive/defensive.
Because the size of Zanpakuto is related to spiritual energy, Cecily doesn't have any blade at all. In the first version it was some kind of sharp ribbon set on a tsuka (a katana's handle). Later I found out about ceremonial bells – suzu. And I realized it's a perfect weapon for her.
Depending on the version, it has different abilities.
1) Shikai v1.0
When I'm thinking about it now, it should be more like Bankai lol.
The ribbon of the sword spins around the target and puts them in a light void where they are forced to dance. I don't remember exactly the rules of it, but it's quite easy to break the spell.
2) Shikai v1.5
It was an upgrade of the v1.0, but I don't remember if that was in the same version of the story or in another one.
The ribbon of the sword spins around the target. The target is closed in the void and forced to dance; meanwhile, Cece can use the powers of the target. It can be used as a way to restrain the opponent, and they have to stop the dance to break the spell. It can also be used as a way to increase Cece's powers by her ally, who would actually try their best to keep dancing in the void so she can keep using their powers. Sounds useless, but she can connect this way even with an unconscious ally, so this way the ally's powers can be used when they can't fight themselves. It's also a way to communicate with others when they are unconscious, even if it's as serious as a coma.
If Cece has a special connection with a target, she joins a target in the dancing void. Meanwhile, her physical form turns into some kind of fusion between her and the target (like in Steven Universe). The fusion is mentally a new being, with Cece's memories and powers of the target. Yes, I'm obsessed with fusions.
This version of Shikai can be used on multiple targets at once. They all dance in the same void, don't see each other, but can hear.
3) Bankai v1.0 – It was connected with the Shikai v1.0 story (probably not with 1.5) and was also some kind of power to transfer Reiatsu/connect with unconscious people. She also got a nice fit inspired by Swan Lake. It was used only once in the story, so I don't remember much.
4) Default form v2.0
When I gave Cece that form of her Zanpakuto, there was also something special about the bells, but I don't remember what that was. I think it was about the sound of her bells – only beings with low reiatsu could hear their sound, so when Shinigami could hear them, it meant they were very weak at the moment.
5) Shikai v2.0
As her previous Shikai was too hilarious for the setting, Cece got a new one.
The Suzu can create a lightning string connecting souls and transferring Reiatsu between them without losing its nature. Cece has to touch a soul to create the connection. The transfer can be used for healing, buffing, or debuffing. For example, if Reiatsu from a Shinigami is transferred to another Shinigami, it can heal them or increase their powers. If Reiatsu from Hollow is transferred to Quincy, it can blue screen them.
HISTORY
Left by her French (or English, it doesn't matter) mother when she was a newborn, just with a piece of paper with a name – Cecily. When she was 4 years old, she was adopted by the Tamago family. They both already raised two adopted sons, much older than Cecily. When she joined their family, the younger one left the household just a year after, so she didn't really have any siblings.
Mr. and Mrs. Tamago were hardworking and decent people. They cared about the education of their children, helped them with study, and paid for extra courses if needed. They both were quite distanced emotionally, which didn't create the best parent-kids relationships in the family. Cecily never called them mother and father – only aunt and uncle but when it came to referring to both of them, she used "parents" though, never "caregivers" or other similar words.
Besides not having a warm family, Cecily grew up as a very kind and lovely girl. It was hard to her to maitain long term frienships but in high school she befriended with a girl and a boy who were already best friends since childhood. They both were a little bit of outsiders already, so they didn't mind having a friend who didn't really know what relationships can look like.
As Cecily's hair was light blonde, she had it dyed black. She stopped doing it in high school, as it didn't really change the fact that others saw her as a foreigner. She also met a few kids in her new class who didn't have black hair as well, so she felt more courage to stop dyeing her own. That's also when she started having a neck-length hairstyle.
Cecily was a decent student, always in the middle of the class ranking. She didn't focus on any particular subject, as there was something else that she put her heart in – dance. Since junior high school, Cecily had been attending dance club meetings after school. Her parents agreed on that, but since high school, two days of the week she was supposed to spend in a cram school instead. They saw her love for dance as a hobby, but Cece wanted to make it her career. As her school dance club wasn't focused on a specific genre and they had different teachers through the years, Cecily could learn a variety of different dance styles. J-pop and K-pop were her favorites, as they focused on group routines rather than solo dance, but she also loved jazz and locking. In the future, she'll find herself fond of contemporary dance.
For a mysterious reason, she can't stand Ichigo. He's not loud all the time (but when he is...) as well as his friends, but she noticed that she feels much better when he's not at school. And for some reason he's not at school very often recently (which is great). One day a new guy joined their class, and that's where her story in this universe starts.
